Dreambert and Bedsmith, two creatures of the Pi’illo species, wake up in a morning, without any memory about who they are, where they are or how they arrived. They are found in a strange house in a unknown city, feeling lost and confused. Just as panic is installed, a particular man named Wonky appears, who claims to be their father. He suggests that he must have passed while watching TV the previous night, but before he can explain more, the situation becomes even foreign. A creature named Starlow, from Star Sprite species, arrives, insisting that he is a friend of theirs. She says they planned to stay, but Dreambert and Bedsmith have no memory about it or such plans. Reticent, they follow Starlow outside, uncertain about their surroundings. They wander around the city, acting as if they do not recognize the environment, nor the stars. Despite their confusion, Starlow continues to interact with them as if they were friends for a long time. As they show them around, Starlow patiently explains their alleged friendship and their names, trying to calm them down. However, Dreambert and Bedsmith remain disoriented and unable to understand their past or connection with Starlow. As the day continues, Starlow becomes more concerned, initially believing that they are just looking. But as their strange behavior persists, she begins to worry that something is severely wrong with their memories. By the end of the day, Starlow’s uncertainty deepens, and she wonders if there is something more behind their forgetfulness. Dreambert and Bedsmith are sent back to the house in which they first woke up, and the winner claiming to be their father who offers them with a bed that feels unknown. Too tired and confused to protest, they settle for the night. As they fall asleep, their minds are full of questions about their identities, their past and the cause of their sudden amnesia. The mystery of their lost memories is unanswered as they go into an restless sleep, uncertain of what the future holds.
